Dear Rulers of the Muslim World
There is no denying you have failed Islam and the Muslim Ummah (community).
You have collectively failed to protect Islam and its creed. You portray Islam as a mere historical legacy and not the complete way of life that was revealed by Allah [subhanahu wa ta?ala] to order our affairs. You readily subscribe to the dangerous idea of separating religion from the state and religion from politics as all of you refuse to apply the Shari?ah (Islamic law) completely and outlaw parties based solely on the Islamic aqeedah (belief).
You try to display Islamic credentials to the people by building large mosques and so on, yet Islam is not the sole arbiter in our affairs, it has been relegated to the margins of society. Your mouthpieces in the mosques preach to us the virtues of Zakat (charity) while you follow IMF and World Bank policies.
It is well understood that the leaders of nations hold the interests of their people and their way of life as a grave matter to be protected at all costs. But you have opened up our lands to the culture of kufr (blasphemy) and exposed us to its harmful effects. Today, Muslim lands exhibit social ills only associated with nations that defy the rule of Allah [subhanahu wa ta?ala]. Your actions diminish our unique Islamic culture while amplifying the values of kufr. The artificial borders that you love to protect permit the entry of kufr ideas into the Ummah, but prohibit the free flow of vital Islamic thoughts that will restore life to it.
However, your borders do more than obstruct the interaction of Islamic thoughts. They have caused hostility and enmity to spring between brothers, entrenching despicable forms of partisanship and tribalism amongst Muslims, distancing them from the brotherhood Islam forged between them. Even though the noble Qur?an states, “The believers are nothing else than brothers” (Al-Hujurat:10), you conspired to send Muslims to fight each other over these artificial lines.
You are always striving to simulate a united Ummah facing its common enemy. You held an OIC (Organisation of the Islamic Conference) meeting recently, but you invited Arroyo of the Philippines and Vladimir (Putin) the butcher of Chechnya to “observe” proceedings. In future, one should not be surprised if you invited Ariel Sharon, the “Man of Peace”. At this meeting your only significant act was to condemn the American aggression against the Muslims of Iraq. But the harshness of the condemnation was blunted by the proposal to send our troops to extricate America from the quagmire it had created for itself.
You also affirmed your commitment to surrender our authority to international bodies that only serve the interests of kufr. Your secretary-general, Abdelouahed Belkeziz, stated that the foremost requirement of the OIC was to enable the United Nations to administer Iraq?s affairs. So after failing to protect the land of the Muslims and defending our blood, honour and property you decided to hand over the running of our affairs to the same organisation that killed 1,565,192 of us with relentless aerial bombardment and brutal sanctions.
The explanation for your outrageous behaviour is embedded in the history of the nations you preside over. Your nation states were created by your colonialist masters from the remains of the Khilafah (Islamic) state. In the Middle East in 1920 the British held Mandates over Iraq, Transjordan and Palestine while the French Mandate spread over Lebanon and Syria. Then in 1921 Abdullah was made the Amir of Transjordan, and Faisal was made the King of Iraq. In 1926 Ibn Sa’ud was proclaimed King of Hijaz and by 1932 the Kingdom was named Saudi Arabia.
Today some of these states are little more than US military bases with Arab flags on them. That is why you seek the countenance of your colonialist creator; ever trying to please him, for it is normal for the created to fear the creator.
The direct consequence of your odious deeds is your inability to tolerate mild rebuke or allow yourselves to be accounted according to Islam by the sincere sons of the Ummah. Rather, you accept the reproach of the colonialist whenever he calls you to account. When the West declared war on Islam under the guise of a “war on terror”, you joined them even when the facts were clear. Your response was swift and decisive: pursuing the Da?wa (missionary) carriers and filling your prisons with them.
It has now become obvious even to the one who gave you a benefit of a doubt that you were not appointed to become guardians of Islam and the Muslims. You have become the greatest obstacle in the Muslim Ummah?s march to revival but this state of affairs will not last forever. The Messenger of Allah [sallallahu alaihi wa sallam] informed us of your end.
“The Prophethood will remain among you for as long as Allah wills, then Allah will lift it when He wishes to, then there will be a Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided) on the method of the Prophethood, it will remain for as long as Allah wills, then Allah will lift it if He wishes. Then there will be a biting rule, which will remain for as long as Allah wills, then He will lift it if he wishes. Then there will be a tyrannical rule, and it will remain so for as long as Allah wills, then He will lift it if He wishes. Then there will be a Khilafah on the method of the Prophethood, then he kept silent.”
When Islam appeared on this earth kufr ruled the lands and the plains, yet this Deen (the Islamic way of life) razed its foundations and extinguished its sources. Therefore, know O rulers, Islam has outlived the tyranny of the tyrants and it will surely outlast you.
Every passing day brings the Muslim Ummah closer to her Deen. She has complete confidence in the promise of her Rabb (Lord, Sustainer, Provider, Nourisher, i.e. God) to restore her trampled dignity and re-establish her state, the Islamic Khilafah state that will protect her, implement Islam completely and convey the Deen to the rest of humanity.
“Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion, the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace” (TMQ An-Nur: 55).
